  3. Four jailed over Berlin Wall deaths

  5. FIVE former East German officers were found guilty of manslaughter yesterday over the deaths of people fleeing over the Berlin Wall in the Eighties.

  7. The Berlin state court found former Maj-Gen Erich Wollner, 67, who headed Central Border Command, guilty on six counts of manslaughter for signing shoot-to-kill orders. He was jailed for five years.

  9. Gunter Leo, who served under Wollner, received three years and three months for his part in the deaths, while former subordinates Werner Michael and Heinz Geschke both got three years.
